Čiker MTB Marathon 2021

Čiker MTB Marathon 2021 will start on Sunday, June 27, 2021.The marathon will last for 10 days and it is not competitive.The start of the marathon will be from Kraljevo, while final destination will be Prijepolje. On its route, the marathon will pass over many mountains in Serbia: Goč, Radočelo, Golija, Rogozna, Zlatar and Zlatibor, passing through: Raška, Novi Pazar, Tutin, Sjenica, Nova Varoš, Zlatibor, Priboj and Prijepolje.The marathon will, for the most part, run on macadam, forest and mountain roads. Return to Kraljevo is organized for July 6, 2021.

Marathon Calendar

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, the marathon participants will gather in Kraljevo. They will have the possibility to spend the night before the marathon in Kraljevo. On Saturday afternoon, they will be able to enjoy the marathon promotion in the city's square. In the evening, everyone will gather in the municipal administration building for a cocktail party, where all tourist organizations and guests of the marathon will be present.

The marathon will start on June 27. 2021, at 8 am. Participants will first climb Mount Goč, where they will have a longer lunch break at the "Dobre vode" hotel. From the mountain Goč, the participants will ride toward Studena mountain, where they will cross Stojanac at about 1100 m above the sea level. From the Stojanac pass, the participants will descend to Ušće, through the village of Gokčanica, from where they will climb the regional road to Studenica. Our participants will spend their first night in Studenica.

On 28 June, 2021, the marathon route will lead us from Studenica, over Devići and Koritnik, to the regional road Raška – Golija, where a longer break will be made for the participants' snack. Along the ridges of Golija, through the villages of Bekovo and Deževa, the route descends to Novi Pazar, where the second day of the marathon will end.

On 29 June,2021, the marathon will go over the mountain Rogozna, through villages Leča, Jablanica and Izrok. The route will then lead to Tutin, where our participants will spend their third night.

On 30 June, 2021, the marathon route will take us to the Pešterska plateau, through villages Dolovo, Leskova, Karajukića Bunari and Raždaginja, down to Sjenica, where the fourth day of the marathon will end.

On 1 July, 2021, the route will start in Sjenica, leading its way through villages Ponorac, Boroviće and Bukovik, down to the dam of Sjenica lake. From there, the participants will go through Akmačić to Nova Varoš, where they will spend their fifth day.

On 2 July, 2021, the route will lead us over the reef Radoinja, down to Radoinja lake, through Ćose village. From there, the participants will ride towards Zlatibor, passing through Borova glava, Vodica and Ribnica Lake. The participants will spend their sixth night on Zlatibor.

On 3 July, 2021, the marathon route will take us to Tornik, the highest peak of Zlatibor, to a height of about 1300 m above the sea level, from where it descends to the Uvac Monastery, where we will cross the river Uvac at 520 m above sea level. From the Uvac Monastery, the route climbs to the pass at 1150 m above the sea level, and then starts descending along the ridge to Pribojska Banja, where the participants will spend the night.

On 4 July, 2021, the route will lead us to Priboj and Dobriloviće, from where we will start climbing to Pribojska Goleš. The reef Goleš is our next stop, along with Zalug, Prijepolje and Mileševa Monastery, the final destination of the marathon.

On 5 July, 2021, the participants will have a day off, during which they will be offered a tour of the cultural and historical monuments of the area, as well as the possibility of visiting Sopotnica or some other attractive destination in the area. In the evening, a final cocktail party will be organized for all participants and guests.

Return to Kraljevo is organized for 6 July, 2021, for all participants who had previously registered on our website. The transport of their bicycles and equipment is also included. We are expected to arrive to Kraljevo in the afternoon.
