Čiker MTB Marathon 2014

Continuing with our yet established tradition, in 2014. we organised the third "Čiker MTB marathon", which was larger in the number of participants than the previous one, as it counted 90 cyclistin total.

The path was similar to the one we had the previous year, but there were some changes. From Kraljevo we rode through: Ivanjica, Nova Varoš, Sjenica, Prijepolje, Pljevlja, žabljak and Plužine, and the mountains we visited were Čemerno, Javor, Jadovnik, Jabuka, Ljubišnja, Durmitor and mountain Piva. . Different tracks we passed on the same mountains gave a new charm and possibility to see the bigger picture, as it is impossible to grasp all the beauties of aforementioned mountains in only one take.

Many things learnt from the previous two marathons were now greatly improved, the logistics became an increasingly serious task, and the bigger number of participants made the whole organisation more complex, but the effort to overcome all the difficulties showed its results and the third marathon was as successful as the previous two marathons, to the delight of both organizers and participants.

The time has not stopped, nor have we. In the avalanche of finest vibrations and delicate feelings, we gather again in Kraljevo. The company is bigger now, the joy is on the rise, lakes that lie ahead are greener, forests are of stronger smell, the groundings we ride through are vibrating under our wheels, our hearts are trembling in invading beaty and strong emotions. Love knows no years, it arises constantly. While stepping into the cold Moravica, crossing the slopes of Javor, bathing in green Uvac, looking at the canyon Sušice, over which rises thick aerated water among clouds, while crossing Sušičko lake, which is running dry, we are there to say: Yes, life is beautiful, when one knows how to live it.
Čiker marathon is capturing my thoughts more and more, as well as fulfilling my soul. I am part of the winning team, because, when alone, we move faster, when together, we move further.
